Introducing Quilt Buzz
the podcast for, by, and about the everyday quilter
Mission
Giving the “everyday” quilter a modern platform to shine, one interview at a time.
Our Story
The Quilt Buzz Podcast was dreamed up one day by three millennial quilters, Amanda Carye, Anna Brown, and Wendy Chow, who had connected over their love of quilting on Instagram (a surprisingly popular hangout spot for quilters of all ages!). After learning each other’s stories of how they came to quilting from various backgrounds (Anna has a fine arts background in printmaking, Wendy comes from the world of marketing research and consulting, and Amanda is a serial entrepreneur with an MBA), they realized each quilter has a story to tell.
From modern quilt pattern designs to web-based design software, from creating an exchange for unwanted fabric to “local” online fabric shops, the quilting community is a vibrant place of ingenuity, entrepreneurship, and incredible creativity. Quilt Buzz aims to create a platform to learn more about the “every” quilters’ stories from across the global quilting community, focusing on up-and-coming projects and people that are pushing the boundaries.
The Facts
Quilt Buzz is a bi-weekly interview-style podcast that highlights the stories, projects, and creativity of people from across the global quilting community. Hosted by three millennial quilters, each episode deep dives into why the guest of the week started quilting, what drives their creativity and inspires them, and how they are implementing their vision within the quilting industry.

Our Team
Amanda Carye
A serial entrepreneur with her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Amanda Carye spent most of her career in the arts world, working at Sotheby’s and the online art auction house Paddle8 before starting her first company, Idoni. A quilter since middle school, in 2017 she started her second company, Broadcloth Studio, a collection of bold and modern quilt patterns that are designed to be enjoyable to make.
Wendy Chow
Wendy Chow’s background in marketing analytics and consulting drives the team to always ask “the five whys.” With a joint BS in Political Science and Journalism, she focuses the spotlight on the human interest stories that are the backbone of Quilt Buzz. A self-taught quilter, Wendy started quilting as a stress release from her corporate day job and now inspires others to take up quilting through her own modern quilt patterns as The Weekend Quilter.
Anna Brown
With a BFA in Printmaking, Anna Brown is a true Renaissance woman: she brings her creative genius to the podcast’s web development, branding, and as the sound editor. With over 20 years of sewing experience, she is on a quest to share the calming and meditative process of hand quilting. She creates unique, modern quilt patterns and e-courses through her personal project, Wax and Wane Studio.
